Memphis, we know the past week has been incredibly heartbreaking infuriating & exhausting. We opened our doors a week ago to you as a place for women to be placed first, to find sisterhood and community; to build ourselves up to become healthier stronger happier versions of ourselves in a way that honors the inner feminine.

Even after all that has happened, we are still on this mission. We will make room for self care and individual pacing. If you feel like you need a safe space to decompress, come join us. There’s no pressure to even move your body when you attend class. All women are welcome to use our space as a place of solace and refuge to recover & reconnect in the way your body needs.

To find us, we are a tucked-away brick building with lots of privacy and steel security doors. We are designed for safety in mind and invite you to use our space as your personal Athena safe-haven and reconnection zone.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out. Message us if you need someone to talk to or if you have any questions.

We as women often need safe spaces that allow for the vulnerable side of ourselves to feel welcome as we learn to strength train. @deshaaa.michelle welcomes it all and lifts you up in the process. If you have a free hour during your day TODAY, join us for Barbell Fundamentals, a womens-only class that happens at 1:30 pm every Wednesday. 🏋🏽‍♀️💕

Our body is quite intelligent in how it communicates to us in what it needs. It supplies us cues that then give us a feeling in the body; this feeling then prompts us to a specific action that addresses its physical needs. It’s how we keep going in this thing called life.

But in another sense, our bodies can sometimes confuse certain feelings because they output similar neuro-chemicals. Like stress. The difference between physical and emotional stress…the body knows no real difference; So it’s ok to listen to any calling during a time of stress, even one for more rest.

All of this is to say, hey sis, take care of *you* 😊
And whatever feeling or choice to self care is yours to make and the right one; Whether if it’s to spring into action & get physical or if it’s to be still, rest, & nourish the body…it’s a perfectly designed program for you by your body to be well. 🙂

So listen in, lean in, and do you. It’s your path to your wellness.

The Movement Nerds of Memphis unite….🤓💪🏋🏽‍♀️
A collaboration with @901kettlebellclub begins as we kick off our first Kettlebell class* today with @movewithrobin at 5:30 pm. 😎
This collaboration is what has formed our Saturday 10:30 am class, K² (Kettlebells + Kinstretch). This one hour class gives a combination of mobility work paired with Kettlebell movements & will be sure to make your body feel AMAZING.
All levels supported and celebrated. Register on our website or simply show up. ✌️🙌
